I love social media for so many reasons. Actually, there are few side-effects that I don’t particularly enjoy, such as people out in public who are glued to their Facebook or Twitter feeds rather than socializing with each other, or people snapping photos of their food and sharing on Instagram, which seems to be happen just about anywhere and everywhere food is served. But, for the most part, which is also reflected in the current condition of B2B and B2C social media marketing, social media has had a major positive impact in my life and for millions of others around the world.
It has drastically altered how we communicate and share information with each other and to learn from others as well. As for marketing, well, we all know how much it has changed how we approach our overall strategies to incorporate social to disseminate content, increase company awareness, engage with our target audiences and even generate leads.
Social media marketing growth shows absolutely no signs of slowing. In fact it is growing tremendously each year. According to sources listed the following infographic from Morrison Foerster, “US B2B marketers alone are projected to spend more than $100 billion on social media advertising by 2017.” However, marketers are still learning how to most effectively get what we need from it. Additionally this infographic shows that “60 percent of social media practitioners cite measuring ROI as one of the top three most challenging aspects of their social media campaigns.”
